Dr. Yash Kotak is the Technical Head of the C-ECOS group within the Center of Automotive Research on Integrated Safety Systems and Measurement Area (CARISSMA) at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI). He is also the High-Voltage Responsible Electrician (VEFK) for the CARISSMA. Before joining THI in 2020, he worked as a Programme Leader at Blackpool and The Fylde College, UK for almost three years. Prior to that, he was a lecturer at Edinburgh College, UK and Edinburgh Napier University, UK.

He is part of professional bodies such as the Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA) and The Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technology Collaboration Programme (HEV TCP) supported by the International Energy Agency (IEA). His research interests involve various areas of engineering and project management. His publication portfolio involves numerous international journal articles, book chapters, books, conference papers and presentations, encyclopedia chapters and reports. He was also the invited discussion panel leader for 2 conferences, guest editor for 3 special issue journals and a reviewer for 4 international journals.
