He has an MA in International Relations from University of Kent, and has spent the last decade working on the international green transition.
Niels’ core areas of expertise are offshore wind and the green heating transition. He has spent his professional life in Brussels, Copenhagen, Washington D.C., and Warsaw.
Niels has a demonstrated history of working internationally on energy collaborations with countries like: China, the United States and the Netherlands.
Niels’ is well-versed in the Danish energy model, especially the transition black to green, and the positive effects of transparent, long-term energy planning.
For the past two years, Niels has been the Energy Attaché at the Royal Embassy in Warsaw, working to strengthen Polish-Danish Energy cooperation on how best to achieve a fast and just green transition.
